I am having issues! When is that something new? Ok, I need a caterer for the wedding (obviously). What's a girl to do when she wants a nice party for her friends and family, but the damn catering companies want to charge $25/person? It is so unfair! I have talked with these caterers who say they are willing to help you out (ha!), work with you, and come up with a great food selection for your budget! YEAH RIGHT! I gave them a budget and they went $10+ over what I asked for. They don't listen!!!!!!! These people are so annoying and just look at me with dollar signs in their eyes (you know, instead of stars in their eyes).
Well, I say screw the fancy-schmancy catering companies with their poached salmon on a cruton and their foie gras (EEEWWW!!). No thank you!
What is my new plan you ask? Well, thanks for asking... I am going to go with a restaurant, like, lets say, BBQ, Greek, Italian, Chinese, Mexican or something else fun and great that I know what the hell it is. They are so reasonably priced, includes service in the price, and is just what i want! Why didn't I think of this earlier? JEEZ! Don't worry if I do go with something pretty ethnic, I will make sure there will be things you will recognize and vegetarian options!
Anyone have any suggestions for great denver joints? Anyone? ANYONE?!

entertaining...
have you seen Gone Baby Gone? Oh my was it good! I am rather lame and don't go to movies; A- because I can't afford to see all the movies I want at the theater (seriously, $10) and B- because I really don't have the time or people to go with to the theater. So in other words, I catch up on movies (new, old, all) through blockbuster online! I am obsessed! Back to the point of Gone baby Gone, it was a really great story, and as much as it hurts me to say it, Ben Affleck directed a good movie. Casey Affleck was way better though, and always will be!
I have one more entertaining subject to praise... The Red Tent. I feel as if every woman should read this book. It is so interesting to see how women in Biblical times might have lived. It actually makes me want to be more spititual! The book has so many uplifting things and so many hard things to read. I highly recommend it. You should buy it for your best friend, girlfriend, mother, or sister and they would love it, I am sure!

lets go see a picture...
So I am attempting to watch all the movies that are academy award winners or that are on the AFI's top 100 list. I am 52% finished with AFI's list and only 17% done with the 1001 movies I must see before I die!!
I recently watched The best years of our lives, mr. smith goes to washington, it happened one night, some like it hot, and all about eve. These movies are fantastic! DUH! I guess it is obvious b/c they are some of the best movies, according to the academy.
All you have to do is go to http://www.listofbests.com/ to see what lists you have finished. I am working on 27 lists. How do I have time for all these movies, you ask? I take my handy dandy portable dvd player with me on layovers and watch them while I am bored. You try to find something to do in Detroit when it is -25 degrees out.
How many of these classics have you seen?
